About us

It all began over 40 years ago when a young man, Keith Gould, was inspired to follow in the footsteps of his father and father-in-law. For more than three decades, Keith dedicated himself to Alabama Power Appliance Services, working tirelessly to provide reliable solutions to the people of Central Alabama. Then life took a turn. Keith had a son, Hugh Gould, who initially had no interest in the family trade. Instead, Hugh ventured into the BBQ industry. But as fate would have it, the COVID-19 pandemic brought about a period of reflection and a chance to focus on what truly matters. During that time, father and son reconnected. Hugh found an opportunity to learn from one of the greatest role models in his life, while Keith embraced the chance to pass down his wisdom—and perhaps, his patience—while working alongside his son. Together, they’ve built on a legacy that started over a decade ago, proving that life has a way of bringing things full circle.

Since opening our doors in 2015, G&G has proudly carried on a tradition of excellence—and we’re excited to continue this legacy for years to come!

Lisa Gould, the heart of our family and business, manages all of our paperwork, warranties, and, most importantly, the rest of the family—Jessica(Hugh's wife), Eva, Bella, Josilyn, and Jax—our inspiration and the future of G&G.
